High Purity Hafnium Carbide HfC Powder CAS 12069-85-1, 99.9% | 15giorni

Posted on 2022-12-16 By admin

Hafnium Carbide comes in a very high melting point and has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance as well as oxidation resistance at high temperature environments (1000-1100 degree).
Particle Size:
Purity: 99%
Hafnium Carbide HfC Poultry
Hafnium cation HfC can be described as a mix of carbon and hafnium. Hafnium cadmium melting points are around 3900°C. This makes it one of the most resistant binary compounds. Although it is highly resistant to oxidation, oxidation begins at temperatures as low (430°C)
Hafnium-carbid has a grayish, black color and is highly reactive to thermal neutrons.
In order to make ultrafine carbonized Ha powder by using spark plasma, (SPS), an improved device was employed. With the exception of Zr, powder purity is>99.9%. Powders containing Zr impurities are 99.6%. Particle growth and intermediate reactions can be reduced due to the high synthesis temperature, fast heating/cooling, and current impact during the better SPS process. With a new synthesis process, it is possible to synthesize large amounts of HfC. This translates into a daily production rate exceeding 175 g. HfC ceramics containing a high relative amount (>96%) were produced by SPS after being sintered at 2300°C for a period of 30 minutes.

Performance of Hafnium Carbide HfC Powder :
Hafnium carbide powder, a gray metallic liquid, has the highest melt point. The additive of cemented carbide powder has outstanding characteristics, including a better and lower thermal conductivity. Commonly used in the cutting and molding industry, it is used in rocket cone materials.

How is Hafnium Carbide HafC Puffer made?
For the preparation of hafnium carbide powder, you need to reduce hafniumoxide by carbon at 1800 to 20000°C. To remove any oxygen completely, a longer treatment is needed.
Hafnium carbide is a dark gray brittle hard solid. A mixture of elements can be heated to make hafnium carbide. You can produce hafnium carid on an industrial scale from hafnium sponge (from hafnium trihydrate) at 1500–1700°C. Alternatively, it can be prepared from oxidized ha at 2200–2200°C via vacuum carburizing. The carbide obtained has almost equal carbon contents (6.30%°C), and as high as 0.1% free carbon (219). Although it is not a true-stoichiometric material, the obtained hafnium carbide only contains a carbon solution at a certain interstitial position within the face center cubic lattice.
While carbonization can be inert to many reagents at ambient temperature, hydrofluoric solution will disperse it. Hafnium tetrahalide is formed when carbonization occurs at 250-500°C.

Hafnium Carbide Uses:
Hafnium carbide (HfC), the most melting binary alloy known, can be used in many high-temperature areas. It’s suitable for applications at extremely high temperatures such as scramjet and rocket components. It can also be used as a hard coating, often applied using methods such as plasma spraying. HfC structural foam can also made into high temperature components or used for thermal insulation.
Hafnium carbid (HfC), having a melting point above 3890°C, can also be used to make a refractory binary material. HfC can be combined with NBC to form refractory coatings for nuclear reactors. Ta4HfC5 a mixed carbide has the highest melting temperatures at 4215°C.
1. Hafnium can also be used to add cemented carbide; it’s widely used for cutting tools and making molds.
2. Hafnium-carbid, which can be used to make rocket nozzles, is also available for use in the nose cone.
3. Hafnium carbid used in nuclear reactor controls rods. This metal makes nuclear reactor controller rods very well.
4.Used to produce ultra-high temp ceramics
5.A reactant for synthesizing hafnium containing organometallic compounds polymer
6.For coating.

Hafnium HfC-Powder Storage Conditions
Hafnium Carbide HfC-Powder should be stored dry, cold, sealed, must not be exposed, and should also be protected against heavy pressure according to normal goods transportation.
