High Purity Titanium Nitride TiN Powder CAS 25583-20-4, 99.5%

Posted on 2022-12-19 By admin

TiN powder is the common name for titanium nitride. The melting point of this material is much higher than other transition metals, however, its density is less than most metals. This makes it heat-resistant.
Purity: 99.5%
Particle Size: 1 to 3 mm
The Titanium Nitride TiN Pulver:
Formula for titanium Nitride (TiN) is Titanium Nitride (or TiN) is a hard ceramic material. It’s used as a coating on titanium alloys and steel, carbides, aluminum components, or to improve their surface properties. Vickers hardness is 1800-2100 for TiN, while the elastic modulus and thermal expansion coefficients are 251 GPa and 9.3510-6K-1 respectively. The superconducting temperature is 5.6K.

Ti-nitride will react at 800°C. TiN coating colors are brown and gold. Laboratory tests show that it is chemically stable to temperatures of 20°C. However, concentrated acids solutions at high temperatures will cause the coating to corrode slowly. Dependent on the material used and the finish of the substrate, friction coefficients between TiN-N and other TiN are 0.4 to 0.9% (unlubricated). TiN is characterized by a NaCl crystal structure of the NaCl type. It has about a 1:1 stoichiometric. TiNx compounds with an x value between 0.6-1.2 are thermodynamically stable.
TiN turns superconducting at very low temperatures. For single crystals the critical temperature can reach 6.0K. The superconductivity in thin-film TiN has been extensively studied, and its superconductivity varies greatly depending on the sample preparation until the superconductivity in the superconductor-insulator transition is completely suppressed. By cooling the TiN film down to a value near zero and converting it into the world’s first known super insulator (or ice), the resistance was suddenly increased by 100,000.
The titanium nitride coating – TiN is hard ceramic material which can be applied to aluminum alloys, steels, carbides or parts. This material is ideal for jewellery and other high-performance ceramics. It also can be used in medical equipment, such as saw blades, plastic bone and scalpels. Additionally, it can be used to create conductive barriers in microelectronics as well as electrodes in bioelectronics.

What is the process of producing Titanium Nitride NiN Powder?
By reacting titanium and nitrogen at 1200°C, titanium nitride is possible. This can also be done by using a mixture gas consisting of titanium tetrachloride and nitrogen. The heat treatment of titanium dinitride in nitrogen or ammonia results in the formation of titanium nitride. At 1000°C, titanium tetranitride can be obtained by heating titanium tritrachloride and ammonia.

Product Performance of Titanium Nitride TiN powder:
Titanium Nitride TiN powder, CAS 25583-20-4, has high purity, narrow distribution, high temperatures strength, high crack strength, excellent chemical resistance and low hardness.

Titanium Nitride TiN powder application:
Titanium nitride, a hard ceramic, is used for coating titanium alloys and steel as well as aluminum parts. You can use it for jewelry and other high-performance ceramics. It also makes great medical equipment like scalpels or bone saw blades. Additionally, it can be used to create conductive barriers in microelectronics as well as electrodes in bioelectronics.
TiN is used for a thin coating that hardens and protects cutting and sliding surfaces. Most applications require a coating thickness of less than 5 microns (0.00020 in).
The most common applications of TiN are steel, hardened and stainless steel materials with high wear resistance. TiN is an indispensable material for physical vapour deposition coatings. This makes it ideal for high-end applications such as injection molding and sawing.
This coating can also be used in medical instruments (implants, surgical instruments etc.). It is used for food processing and medical purposes. You can easily remove the TiN layer and recoat it. You can strip and recoat.
Plastic packaging materials such as PET bottles can be made.
The solar vacuum tube has a very high absorbed sunlight.
High-temperature furnaces are used to consume energy.
Biomaterials are used to make artificial limbs.
In harsh conditions, optical equipment can be made.
Useful as an alloy modifier in cemented carbide
