Nano Quartz Powder

Posted on 2023-01-24 By admin

Nano quartz powder is a high-performance material with excellent electrical insulation and thixotropy. In addition, it has good absorption and reflection properties. It can be used in various industries.

Quartz powder is a natural mineral that is used in several different industries. Some of its major applications include: sandpaper, sanding glass, ceramics, sand, and paints. Also, it is widely used as a filler in special paints and cosmetics.

Compared to silica powder, nano-quartz powder has a lower density. The specific surface area is also greater. Besides, the particle size is also smaller. This makes it easy to agglomerate.

The morphology of the particles is irregular. However, the radii are large. These radii can be easily associated with silicon hydroxyl groups. Thus, more surface active hydroxyl groups can enhance the coating effect.

As a result, the synthesis process of NS is effective. Furthermore, the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) methods were used for characterization. Moreover, the EDX analysis showed a sharp silicon top.

The NS with amorphous form is safer than the crystalline one. Besides, the application range is more wide. On the other hand, the environmental hazards and leakage to groundwater can affect safety.

Especially, the agglomeration effect of the fine powder particles is reduced. Consequently, the thermal expansion coefficient of the film is greatly decreased.

In the future, the technology of preparing ultrafine quartz powder will become more economical and reasonable. In addition, the preparation equipment will improve continuously, and the high-end modification technology will expand.
